Types of Garment Labels
- Woven main label: the brand name sewn at the neck or hem.
- Size label: S to 2XL or custom size run.
- Care or wash label: fiber content and washing instruction.
- Hem tag: a small branded flag for a premium touch.
Care labels are often legally required in the EU and US. Tell us your target market so we include the right content and language.
Hang Tags & Packaging
| Item | Options |
|---|---|
| Hang tag | Printed card, kraft, foil, string |
| Polybag | Clear, compostable, branded |
| Sticker | Logo seal for the polybag |
| Fold card | For shelf display |
Packaging is part of the unboxing experience. Even a simple kraft hang tag lifts perceived value at low cost.
Label Materials & Finishes
- Woven: damask (smooth) or satin edge for premium feel.
- Printed: heat-transfer or screen for colorful, detailed art.
- Laser-cut or embossed for a minimal look.
How to Brief Your Labels
- Send your logo as vector (AI, EPS, SVG).
- State placement, size and color of each label.
- Confirm the care-label content for your market.
- Approve a physical label sample before bulk.
Branded trims need their own sourcing step, so include them in the tech pack early. Late label changes can delay the whole shipment.
MOQ & Lead Time for Labels
- Woven labels often start around 500 to 1,000 pieces.
- Printed tags can start lower, sometimes 300 pieces.
- Label production adds about 5 to 7 days to the timeline.
